A special iPad application about the life of Vincent van Gogh was launched in October 2011. The app contains animations, games and many historical facts about the life and works of the world-famous painter. The app is an initiative of Van Gogh Brabant and was produced by Qlvr, an innovative media agency.

Vincent's life and works
The app ‘Explore Vincent’ paints a picture of Vincent van Gogh's turbulent life: his childhood years in Zundert, his school days in Tilburg, his artistic calling in Etten-Leur, his failed romances and artistic 'explosion' in Nuenen and finally his sojourns in various places in the Netherlands and abroad. Through an exploration of selected works, such as the Brabant 'Potato Eaters', the viewer can visually follow his development as a painter. Moreover, we can discover in a playful way more about Van Gogh's historical surroundings as well as his sources of inspiration. Six intriguing games make the app complete.
Rich Educational Application
'Explore Vincent' is an initiative of Van Gogh Brabant and was produced by Qlvr from Utrecht. The initiators offer a rich educational application with playful possibilities to the discerning user. The app can be downloaded from 17 October 2011 onwards from the Apple App Store, and is available in both Dutch and English. Five Van Gogh locations in Brabant currently offer schools and groups supported access to the app via iPads.
