Noordbrabants Museum (North Brabant Museum), 's-Hertogenbosch

Website http://www.noordbrabantsmuseum.nl/?lng=uk
Town 's-Hertogenbosch

The North Brabant Museum is the leading museum for the best of Brabant art and history. The museum is the only location in Brabant where actual paintings by Van Gogh can be viewed. You will see the peasant women from The Potato Eaters here, his father’s parsonage and the unspoilt Brabant landscape for which Van Gogh was always homesick.

You can enjoy a special display about Van Gogh until 15 May 2011. From 16 May the museum will be closed for a major refurbishment. Naturally once the new display is completed at the end of 2012, plenty of space will be devoted to Van Gogh. In the largest room of the new complex, one thing the visitor certainly should not miss, there will be a large selection of works by Vincent van Gogh on display. For ultimately the artist laid the foundations for his artistry in his ‘beloved Brabant’.

Online museum during the closure
The museum will be closed for refurbishment from 16 May 2011 until December 2012. You will still be able to view our website during this period of closure. There you can see the digital exhibition De Wereld van ’t Moer, specially designed for the cartoons by Miesjel van Gerwen in the Brabants Dagblad newspaper. You can also see all the activities we have planned during the closure period. The North Brabant Museum is open 24/7 for 365 days of the year via www.noordbrabantsmuseum.nl
